Christmas tree time!

So I am finally posting about my Christmas tree and mantle! I knew I was busy with school and work and home, but I guess I just don't realize how busy I am! I have hardly any time to do anything..and my weekend are FILLED with laundry and cleaning the house.

No fun for my boys.

I have decided that once school is done in February I am going to start doing the cleaning during the week, and laundry on the weekend, so I can have some time with my boys and myself.

Anywho....I have had my tree up since Thanksgiving..(that's just how busy I am!) This is my second year with my "candy theme" but it still isn't complete. Ya know, time and money make it hard for me to get all the things that I want to put on it! But, I have a plan...this year I will most definitely go after Christmas and snatch up all kinds of goodies for next to nothing for my candy tree!

So here it is....the"not finished yet" Christmas tree..

And my Christmas mantle..which also isn't done yet...

The hubs was watching EPSN, he wouldn't let me turn the tv off to get a "magazine" shot, and I was too impatient to wait for the game to go off!

I love my decorations even if they aren't done! I do wish though, that I had the money to get the rest of what I want for my tree....in time though!

I have linked up to TDC and her Christmas Tree Party. You should too

Much love.

Yesterday

Yesterday, 4 years ago...was one of the greatest days of my life!

I gave birth to my first son, Jacob Hank. The labor was a little rocky, I was sick with a sinus infection, and ended up having my first epidural wear off, to which they gave me way too much the 2nd time and it made me sick...I was vomiting between each push..It was awful.

My baby boy finally came out about an hour and a half of pushing and he was sweet, handsome and healthy. He immediately turned to his daddy and stopped crying when he heard his voice.

After all the chaos, it was just us 3. I had started to get sick again and while trying to tell my husband that I was going to pass out, I did. Luckily, he had the baby. When I finally woke, I had ringing in my ears, felt all tingly and numb, and realized that there was tons of blood coming out of me. It was scary. My husband was scared. no one knew what was wrong. My blood pressure was at 70/30...pretty darn low. No telling how low it got before hand.

After all was said and done, I was healthy and our little boy was healthy. Adjusting to life with a brand new baby came so easily. I am so blessed because he is so special and so sweet. He changed my life...and everyone else's around him!

Happy Birthday Jacob! I love you!

Wedding day jitters

Okay, not for me, but for a girl I know. And why jitters, well because the night before I had just finished up her handmade gift and was nervous about it's arrival to her at the wedding the next night....here is what I did...

A sign I purchased from Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon (love it) slathered some mod podge on some adorable scrapbook paper, stuck some vinyl lettering on it (courtesy of this gal) then realized it needed something on the edges. So, I took some twine I had and braided and knotted it and hot glued it around the edges, then strung up several pieces of the twine through the hooks on the back for the newly married couple to hang it by!

Cool. I was super impressed with myself!

The next jitter was this...

and this...

and this...

I went to get my makeup bag out of my purse, when I noticed my purse was missing. Well, I look behind the couch, and there is my oldest with my purse and blush, no damage done...but my makeup bag was gone. I looked in the other hiding place, behind the chair, and there is my youngest...scrambling to hide all my makeup in the corner between the wall and chair!
He immediately runs and hides under his bed...(his newest hiding place) I didn't see him for at least 10 minutes, when he emerged and I saw the look above. I couldn't even be made at that point! The child is only 2 1/2 people...
Alice Cooper would be proud.

A bad day turned good!

Well, I was having a bad day the other day...and the day after...but I got a package in the mail from a great friend and it really turned my frown upside down! :)

I have been thinking about learning to knit...don't ask me why, I just have. I was told about knitting looms and thought about trying that out first since I am not the most domesticated person. I went to the store and checked them out, and decided to just wait.

Well, in comes my package, and what I find inside is just awesome! My friend Sierra, had so sweetly bought me looms!! I was ecstatic!! On top of that, she had purchased 3 books for my boys, some peanut butter popcorn yum AND my favorite.....these cute little suckers...

Aren't they just to-whooooo cute? (haha, get tooooo cute!) Little stuffed owls made by her own hand (and a sewing machine, of course!) And they go perfectly with my vinyl Thanksgiving project she cut for me last year!! Lurve it!!

It definitely made me smile about a mile wide...it was a much needed boost...and she has no idea what is in store for her!! Yay!

Much love.

Words

Words can't express just how bad I feel.

No, I am not talking about my surgery...I have actually perked up quite a but.

I hurt someone I love. The #1 thing that you shouldn't do to this person, I did. I was stupid for doing it. I thought I was going to be better off doing what I did, but I was wrong...so wrong. And I knew it, but for some reason I did it anyway. I don't know what to think or say..or even feel. I feel more than awful...I am so lost now...I have asked for forgiveness, I said how sorry I am. Just give me some sort of sign that this too, shall pass.

Much love.

Halloween, surgery and recovery...

Just had surgery today, making this post short.

Halloween:

was awesome! I had a racecar driver and Superman visit me that night...

I was working my attempt at a 1950's housewife...

Had my tonisls taken out today...all is good. No voice, just feels like I have a really bad sore throat! I hope to be back up and running soon!

Much love.
