Retouching photos

Have you heard about the Ralph Lauren uproar? This photo of a model whose head is bigger than her waist?! It looks pretty freaky...

Did you know that in the UK they have banned the art of retouching to a certain extent? I for one, agree! I am tired of seeing all this people on the covers of magazines looking like a million bucks, especially when you know they just popped out a baby or something!

You know what I want to see? I want to see a mom who has worked 8-5, comes home to kids, does dinner, homework and baths on the cover..in ALL her spaghetti sauce covered, soaked hair, mascara running, hair all-a mess, glory! Oh, and don't forget the dark circles under her eyes and the blemish that popped up the night before!

Now that is what I want to see. I would be the first in line to buy that magazine to read about that woman's life...if it weren't already my own!

Update on boys and cowboy bathroom

I admit it, I have been busy lately and haven't been paying attention to my blog..I am sorry! I have tons I want to blog about, but my thoughts are scattered at the moment!

I am happy to report that Colt had his well check up after his hospital stay and is a well boy now! My oldest had a dentist appointment this morning and has his first (small) cavity. We go back towards to end of the month to fill it...fun.

This project isn't much, but it's something. I painted and sanded this shelf for the boy's bathroom (although you can't tell I sanded it in the picture). I found an old belt buckle of Jason's from waaaaaaaay back in the day to use as decor, but that's all I got right now.

So without further adue..

What a weekend...

Colt taking a breathing treatment with his Pop (my dad)! He was such a big boy doing it by himself!

I have been MIA people...sorry...I don't have time to blog at the moment, but I wanted to let you know that we have been in the hospital with my youngest, Colt for the past 4 days.

He developed pneumonia, and his oxygen levels pretty much sucked and he was working way to hard to breathe. He is much better now, and we are finally home. I have much work to catch up on, as well as mending my family back together.

I will be back by this weekend, hopefully!

Master bathroom project

Okay, so the time has come for me to finish the master bathroom! It has been a year almost since we first moved into our home, and very little by very little, I have been taking on projects in the house to make it more of our style!

Our master bedroom is blue and brown..bascially..so I carried it over into the bathroom as well. Now, I got a reeeeeeally nice picture from a photographer named Kimber, and it is just the best thing ever I could put in my potty room! This is what the picture and the bathroom look like so far...

So friends...suggestions on what else to do, please! Should I hang Kimber's pic or should I leave it on the vanity?! ANY suggestions would be appreciated...window treatments, re-arranging stuff, ANYTHING!
