Finally!! A project!

Sorry, hope that wasn't too loud! But I just got a package from my good friend Sierra with my vinyl she cut for my next project!! Now, it's not a big one, but big enough to me!

I had her cut these for my boys dresser, to give them the chance to be a little more independent and to learn more about letters and reading! I am so excited! I can't wait to get home and slap these babies on their dresser drawers!

Single parenting sucks!

My hubs is out on business this week (if you can call playing in mud pits 5 feet deep business) and won't be back until a week from today, so I am single parenting it. Fun.


I usually only have to do this one week a year, but this year his company decided that wanted to expand on that idea and do it twice a year. Fun again.


It's not so bad really, my sister is coming to stay with me to help out since I am in school in the evenings and the boys loooooove their Aunt Layla...seriously, one would think they belong to her when out in public..mommy who?


Anyway, Jason is out across some of the other southern states and he knows how much I love pigs, so it seems when he finds one interesting enough, he calls my attention to it...
Can you see the little piggy?? I guess this means my husband misses me...and it's only been 9 hours....geesh, get a life will ya?! JUST picking! I am glad that whenever he sees a pig, he thinks of me....or wait, maybe that isn't a good thing???

Okay, so I posted about my bench...and I ain't got no ideas on what to do with it..come on ladies! Please!





I now have another thing that's just sitting around at my office, that I think has potential, but I'm not really sure...

You see...this really isn't the style of my house...but I just can't help but think that something can be done with this...soooooooooooooo...

I need some ideas, please!

What do I do?!

Okay, so looky what I got off of craigslist for $10...

Not bad, right? Well, you can totally tell that it has been re-covered, so I turned it over and out came the staples....

Wow! I have to say I looove that! It's quite an odd color, but it's just so cool and vintage-y that I don't want to re-cover it! I have no idea what to do with it now! It currently resides in my front hallway as a bench to sit on, but truth be told, it's a bit low, and a bit wide and my hallway isn't all that wide...so I am not sure what to do!

So, here is where you come in...

1)tell me should I re-cover it?

2) should I keep it in the hall?

Wow! I have gotten some treasures this past week and I can't wait to share them with you!

I got a long ottoman off craigslist, a free coffee table that is just awesome, some stuff from a local wholesale store that has TONS of fleur de lis decor and I just put all my fall decor stuff out!

I have plans for the ottoman, I had plans for the coffee table (still thinking about them) I re-arranged my living room (loving it) and now I am wanting to build an island in our kitchen to serve as our table!!

Needless to say...I have lots on my mind. I will have pictures tomorrow of the befores, and hopefully maybe y'all can help me out with some ideas!! I am so excited!

First day of school!

Okay, so after a huge misunderstanding about Jacob starting preschool, a spot opened up and he is now a preschool student!

We were so disappointed when we realized that he wans't going to be going to preschool, but the director assured us that we were first on the list, in the case someone dropped. In the mean time I scrambled to make sure that both the boys were sure to have a spot at the same school's Kid's Day Out program.

Well, two days ago, I got the call that there was a spot for Jacob at preschool! He started today, as did Colt with the Kid's Day Out program! This will be great for them and good for my parents who have been keeping them since they were born. It won't be all day every day, but let's just say my parents will have a much needed break from the boys, and vice versa!

Here are just a few pictures...my camera was acting up so I didn't get as many as I would have liked!

Jacob was ready to go at the last picture....and they were tired of me telling them to stand still! I have some others on the other camera, but they look blurry, and frankly, I didn't have time to try and figure out why, so I broke out the old school digital camera that seems I can always depend on!

I am happy to report that Jacob owned his classroom! No crocodile tears at all! He even told me I was leaving! Colt on the other hand, well ...he is my baby...and he is very pitiful! He tugs on your heartstrings like you wouldn't believe! He wasn't a happy camper as I walked out screaming fro the arms of his teacher, "don't leave me!" Poor thing didn't even take his bacpack off or let go of his lunchbox! I did check on him after I dropped off Jacob, and he was as happy as lark!

I can't believe they are so big now!
